My current work in ceramics explores different possibilities for amphora and vessels.  I have contemporized the designs and modified the shapes to accommodate the content and meaning I associate with them.  The method is additive and allows for numerous reflections on function, shape and form, surface and content.  This exploration is more heuristic than exact, allowing for natural transitions to move to the forefront and become new dominant themes.  The endeavor is quite energizing and there is real delight for me embodied in the making and the object made.
